Changelog
Last updated Nov 4, 2026
Every change people will notice, newest first. No surprise fees, redesigns or plan changes.
Your signed-in devices
- Settings, Security lists every device signed in to your account, with its browser, system and when it was last active.
- Sign out any one device, or all other devices at once. A device you sign out is signed out within an hour, when its sign-in next needs renewing.
Two-step sign-in
- Turn on two-step sign-in in Settings, Security: signing in then needs your password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. Add a second app as a backup.
- It is enforced by the database itself, so a password alone reaches none of your data.
- You get an email whenever an authenticator app is added or removed.
Trust pages, status checks and offsite backups
- New public pages: our Plan Promise, support, this changelog, privacy notice, terms, data processing agreement, sub-processors and service status, linked from the footer of every page.
- Independent checks every few minutes that the app, PDF creation and email are working, for the status page at status.minsobill.com.
- Every night an encrypted copy of the database goes to a second provider in another region (Cloudflare, EU). The monthly restore drill now restores from that copy.
Monthly backup restore drill
- Once a month the hosted database is restored from a fresh dump into a throwaway copy and checked: migration history, row counts on every table, a snapshot for every issued invoice, and payments against amounts paid.
- The first run on the hosted database passed.
Release checks and security hardening
- An enforced Content-Security-Policy with a fresh nonce on every page, so only MinsoBill's own scripts run.
- Database functions audited: internal functions can no longer be called from the API, and invoice number counters can only be changed by the database itself.
- Release gate tests for money, numbering, locked invoices, access between businesses and accessibility.
Card payments through your own Stripe account
- Connect your own Stripe account in Settings, Payment methods, and clients can pay by card from the invoice link.
- Payments go straight to your Stripe account. MinsoBill never holds the money and takes no fee. A card payment is marked as paid only after Stripe confirms it.
- The Stripe sign-in link now stays valid for an hour, so there is time to set up a new Stripe account.
Tax rates with three decimal places
- Tax rates such as 8.875% can be entered and are calculated exactly.
AI quick-create
- Type a short description and get a draft invoice to review. Nothing is created until you check it and choose Create draft, and nothing is ever sent by the AI.
- The AI reads the text; all amounts are calculated by MinsoBill. Guessed fields are flagged on the review screen.
Quotes
- Send quotes that clients can accept or decline from the link, then turn an accepted quote into an invoice.
- The browser tab says Quote or Invoice, in the page's language.
Your country's formats, tax labels and payment methods
- Choose your business country. Dates, numbers, addresses and tax labels follow it, and dates always show the month as a word.
- Bank details follow the country: US routing and account numbers, UK sort codes, or IBAN and BIC.
- Zelle, Venmo and Cash App for US businesses, each off until you switch it on.
- Tax labels (Sales tax, VAT, GST), tax-exempt clients and an optional contractual late fee.
- Clients have a country, and EU businesses default to VAT.
Names at sign-up and a Profile page
- Sign-up asks for your first and last name and a confirmed password. Change your name in Settings, Profile.
Hosting moved to the US
- The database and app moved to US East (Supabase us-east-1, Vercel iad1).
UK late payment interest
- An optional line for statutory interest and fixed compensation on overdue UK business invoices, off until you switch it on.
Reminders, email delivery status and quicker products
- Send a reminder by hand in your chosen tone, or schedule automatic reminders that stop by themselves once an invoice is paid, void or disputed.
- See whether each email was delivered or bounced, as reported by the email provider.
- Create a saved product from the invoice editor without leaving the invoice.
Pay page fixes
- After a client reports a payment, the form folds away until they need it again.
- Invoices keep their layout when the page is shown in a right-to-left language.
Import clients and products
- Import clients and products from a CSV file, with column matching and duplicate checks before anything is saved.
Your data and full export
- Settings, Your data & plan: download everything as one ZIP with every issued PDF, CSV files and a JSON archive, on every plan.
- Files for Xero and QuickBooks Online, and FreeAgent contacts.
Dashboard
- A dashboard with what is owed to you and what happened recently.
- Daily European Central Bank exchange rates. Totals in other currencies are labelled approximate, with the source and date.
Client pay page
- Clients open the invoice link to see what is due and how to pay, in English, German, French, Spanish or Urdu.
- Clients can tell you they have paid. That is a report for you to check, not proof of payment.
- Invoice links are rate-limited and can be revoked.
Bank detail protection
- Changing bank details asks for your password again and emails the owner.
- The pay page shows when the bank details were last changed.
Security baseline and draft clean-up
- Automatic dependency audits, secret scanning and security headers.
- Drafts can be deleted, and invoices cleared by credit notes show Credited.
Payments, credit notes and revisions
- Record full or part payments. An invoice shows Paid only when you record it.
- Credit notes, linked revisions and disputes for issued invoices.
Review, send and lock
- Review an invoice before it is issued, then send it by email, link or PDF.
- Issued invoices are locked and their snapshot is stored. Changes make a linked revision or credit note.
- Drafts saved on this device are kept separately for each user and checked before you sign out.
Invoice editor and PDFs
- An invoice editor that saves as you type, and PDFs in three templates with embedded fonts.
Business setup, clients and products
- Set up your business with its logo and base currency, and keep a list of clients and products.
Foundations
- Exact money: every amount is stored in whole minor units with its currency, using that currency's own decimals.
- Each business can see only its own data, and invoice numbers are assigned on issue and never reused.
